Pillars of Mental and Physical Health

As described here by Dr. Andrew Huberman: there are roughly 9 pillars of physical and mental health. What I hope to do is optimize each of these for myself in the coming months. Outlined below is my plan to do just that.

Sleep:

  • At least 8 hours every day

  • Bedtime wind down routine

Sunlight:

  • Move computer to facilitate more sunlight (done)

Exercise:

  • Stretch every day

  • 5/7 days a week

Stress Regulation:

  • Laugh as often as possible

  • yoga, journaling, presence

Relationships:

  • Daily community interaction in real life

  • friendships

Nutrients:

  • no processed foods

Oral Health & Gut Microbiome:

  • Water floss daily + eat fermented foods

Spiritual Grounding:

  • develop a spiritual practice

Purpose & Mission:

  • have a mission in life

Fresh air:

  • get outside at least once a day

My Daily Routine:

  • 6am-10am: Read, Learn and Work

  • 10am - 11am: Yoga

  • 12pm - 6pm: Sales calls

  • 6pm-10pm: Exercise & social community
